Corporate Governance and Social Responsibility

SenSage has a longstanding history of actively supporting the development of responsible investment principles and supports and adheres to the Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Advisory. We are committed to fiduciary responsibility and transparency around our views and activities related to corporate governance and responsible investment.

Shariah Governance

In secular jurisdictions such as India which do not specifically recognize Islamic investment, it is a challenge to design Islamic investment portfolio which can fit into the current commercial architecture while also remaining compliant with the Shariah.

A Shariah-compliant investment portfolio has to be therefore structured with care and originality to simultaneously meet Shariah stipulations, satisfy legal and regulatory requirements, and be tax efficient and commercially viable.

SenSage has entered into an agreement with TASIS (Taqwaa Advisory and Shariah Investment Solutions) to source guidance and follows their Shariah screening norms which are more stringent.

Social Responsibility

SenSage has always followed the principle of good business practice and does not entertain margin trading, transactions in derivatives, futures and options. Both the proprietary and investor trading is restricted to Shariah-compliant equities. Our trading transactions are 100% in the one percent delivery based transactions of the stock market.

SenSage focuses on supporting the non-profit organizations like Hyderabad Zakat and Charitable Trust and Saleha Rasheed Charitable Trust which provides financial resources to the poor and needy.
